Viacom18 wins Creative Company of the Year at ABBY Awards 2019
At the finale of the Creative ABBY Awards 2019 on 14 April, Viacom18 took home the title of the Creative Company of the Year closing at 38 points, with one gold, three silver and three bronze metals, followed by Cheil India that bagged three gold, one silver and one bronze metal, finishing at 34 points.

As there was a mix of companies as well as agencies, this year, the name of the top category was changed from Creative Agency of the Year to Creative Company of the Year.
Meanwhile, according to reports, 10 top agencies boycotted the awards this year in Goa.
Viacom 18’s gold win came for its work for MTV- April Fool’s prank at your own risk.
On the last day at Goafest 2019, a combination of factors, including data, tech and content created an entirely new set of winners.
In the pecking order of India's most creative agencies, Dentsu Webchutney topped on points while Cheil India led the tally on golds.
Cheil won a total of seven gold, four silver and four bronze metals. The agency topped the ‘Branded Content and Entertainment Agency of the Year' category. Five gold wins came for ‘The Real Kashmir' for Adidas. The agency also won a gold each for Adidas Originals' ‘#ConnectedByColours', and ‘Bixby Voice Forever' for Samsung Electronics.
Dentsu Webchutney won three golds, five silvers and 14 bronze metals. The gold wins came for Karma Animal Foundation (Bitches near me takeover), Flipkart (Big Billion Day Hagglebot) and Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre (Infant CPR). The agency took home the ‘Digital Specialist Agency of the Year' on the night and overall won a total of ten golds across the two nights of the festival.
Hungry Films won the ‘Video Craft Specialist Agency of the Year' as it won a total of three gold and two bronze metals. The gold wins came for MP Tourism's ‘The World's most honest tourism film'. Other gold winners on the night included Asylum Films (Durex Air), FCB India Advertising (Horlicks Fearless Songs), Helios Media (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) and WATConsult (Racold).
In the Branded Content and Entertainment category, for the best use or integration of offline media such as print, out of home, etc, both Ignite Mudra and Signpost India won bronze metals. Ignite Mudra won the award for ‘OSRAM - Save the Ocean’ and Signpost India for Future Retail’s ‘World's First Glam Tram’.
In the Out Of Home, Ambient Media / Activation category, for FMCG - Foods & Beverages FCBULKA Advertising (Amul 90% Dark Chocolate - Moon (3/3)) and Dentsu Webchutney (Chai-Fi for Chakra Tea) won bronze metals.
In the Out Of Home, Ambient Media / Activation, for FMCG - Personal Care, Home Care, Healthcare & Others, FCBULKA Advertising won a bronze for its work ‘Fearless Kota - Bottle of Love’ for GlaxoSmithKline. The company again won a bronze for Consumer Durables in the category with ‘KEEP AN EYE’ for Active Total Security Systems (ATSS).
