Vibes Academy to a host seminar on newspaper

Chennai-based Vibes Academy has organised a one-day seminar titled 'The way to a reader's delight cum symposium, in Chennai at JP Hotel, Koyambedu on 7 January 2016.

Due to incessant rains and floods in Chennai, the seminar that was supposed to be held on 9 December 2015 has now been postponed to January 2016.
 
The one-day seminar has been organised with a view to point up the success stories and vital decisions that make leaders in the segment. The seminar, an all-encompassing deliberation, will touch upon the technical know-how, waste reduction and the perils of quality failure. The presenters will also discuss innovations, profitability and sustenance.
 
The seminar will see speakers from newspaper industry working for organisation like The New Indian Express Group, The Times of India, Dinamalar Daily, Mathrubhumi and The Hindu Group. N Ravindran, general manager, The New Indian Express Group, will speak on ‘Content and print systems’ whereas S Sekar, general manager-production at The Times of India, Chennai will explain in detail about “Profiles and Plates in newspaper”.
 
Additionally, V S Narayanan, general manager –technical at Dinamalar daily in Chennai will throw light on the subject of press performance enhancement. The seminar will also see senior engineers from The Hindu Group, S.Selvaganapathy and J.Manikandan, explaining in detail about the ‘Quality failure cost’ involved in the newspaper industry.
 
The symposium that will follow will discuss the future of newspaper in the Indian context. Titled, Future of the newspaper is now, the seminar is organised at an opportune time what with the newspaper business in India shows a five-year growth of 16.5 percent globally.
 
Targeted at senior pre-press and press professionals, the seminar solicits a participation fee of Rs 4500 per participant.
