Lead, Kama, ABG, Schober, Lemu, Vacuumatic, Busch, Zacare’s, CMC, Lombardi, and DG Press Machine – all these companies have two things in common – one, each one is represented in India by Vinsak and two, each of these will be exhibiting at Drupa in Dusseldorf.
According to Ranesh Bajaj of Vinsak, each of these stalls have some or the other innovation to boast about. “One of the interesting finishing kits to watch out for at the show is Digicon Series 3, which will be launched at AB Graphics’ stall (Hall 17, A01-01 / A01-15) “The new FastTrack die is the world’s fastest semi-rotary die-cutting system. Running at 150 metres per minute in semi rotary mode, it has a repeat range of 250-508mm.”
While Busch (Hall 06, C40) will be demonstrating new generation of pile turners, CMC along with its partner Xproma (Hall 06, C40) will present CMC CartonWrap 1000. Click here to read more
Kama will focus on short runs and digital packaging printing. “A world premiere at the 200 sq/m Kama booth in Hall 2, A15 will showcase the first complete solution for short runs of folding boxes. At drupa, Kama will be showing the new solution in a workflow together with the HP Indigo 30000,” said Bajaj.
On the DLE front, Lead Laser (Hall 10, Booth E-42), will introduce new materials available for DLE thus expanding the scope of the systems to offer the entire pre-press for flexo, letterpress, screen, dry offset and sleeve consumption for the label and wide web flexo industry.
Lombardi Converting Machinery will demonstrate Synchroline 430, eight-colour with new semi rotary device for special applications such as hot foil stamping and creasing carton boxes at (Hall 04, F53). “The Lombardi range of flexo presses have taken off well in India with one installation running for close to a year now and two more machines are under installation. In addition, there are more than five installations in the Middle East and in East Africa.”
Vinsak also manufactures Label Slitter Rewinder (LSR) with die-cutting unit at its plant in Navi Mumbmai. There are over 2,000 installations of LSR worldwide.
“Competition is getting stronger and the only way for convertors to grow is to run a very efficient operation where in wastage, set up times and quality consistencies are important. They can do this only with high quality equipment. Fortunately, dropping interest rates have helped printers invest in equipment as the impact of higher capital cost gets offset by saving in material and time. We there foresee the market maturing towards European standards of operation,” concluded Bajaj.
