For the paints segment, Vipul Organics already has a huge bouquet of pigment powder and pigment dispersions, under the brand name SunTone and SunCoat respectively.
SunTone is available in a wide spectrum of colours for decorative paints, architectural coatings, industrial paints and automobile coatings. In addition, Vipul Organics showcased its new offering – universal stainers for the paints industry.
At Rs 70,000-crore currently, the Indian Paint Industry has been growing at double digits for the last two decades. It is also the fastest-growing major paint economy in the world. Today, there are 3000+ paint manufacturers in India and almost all global players also have a sizeable presence here. The Industry is expected to grow to Rs 1-lakh crore by 2028/9.
Pigments are one of the four main ingredients in the composition of paints and constitute around 30% of the volume in paints. The pigment volume concentration in paints varies from 20% to 85% across applications and is the most important aspect of paints.
