Ajay Bapat, general manager, packaging development at Emcure Pharmaceuticals
“The pharma industry is growing at 8-10% and this growth in turn will impact all sectors of packaging depending on the types of applications being produced. At Indiapack this time, we can see automation taken to the next level with customer-oriented approach. Coming from a pharmaceutical company, I can see a lot of automation option, which earlier was done manually.”

S Shekhar, general manager, Resource Management Group Plus
“In terms of technology and machinery required by flexible and rigid packaging converters, it seems to be an all encompassing show. The overall show is quite impressive and decorative. However, what we found is that there are lot of unheard of company names, which may not be a bad thing, but I would have liked to see more big brand names, to further boost the enthusiasm at the show.”

Harveer Sahni, managing director, Weldon Celloplast
“With IIP’s name associated with the show, the expectations are quite high, but what is delivered is a bit below par. While some of the exhibitors are of very high standard, I did not see many buyers on the show floor, which I hope will come in the next three days. Also there are a number of flexible converters, but not many materials suppliers.”
