Visual Merchandising & Retail Design (VM&RD) has extended the last date of entry submission for its annual awards to 5 January, 2015. The awards are organised by Bengaluru-based VJ Media, who owns three established publishing brands, POP, Outdoor Asia and VMRD.
The retail design awards, open to individual designers, design firms, brands and retailers applaud the original in design concepts and visual merchandising across the Indian stores. The 25 categories include the various verticals of in-stores; fashion accessories, apparels, sportswear, electronics and restaurants / cafes, among others, and design aesthetics like store lighting, shop fitting, and store fronts.
The design project, which should executed between 1 December 2013 and 30 November 2014, will be judged online by an august line-up of judges from across the design, brand and architecture domains. Some of the names include Ken Nisch, chairman, JGA; Sudhir Soundalgekar, vice president, lifestyle, specialty and energy projects, Shoppers Stop; Ashish Deshpande, co founder, director, Elephant Strategy + Design; Amit Aurora, partner, DCA Architects; Jo Pennycuick, managing director, Redesign Group and Vishal Kapoor, chief design officer and concept business head, Future Group India.
