Wan-Ifra summit in September

The Indian Printers Summit 2022 is scheduled on 14-15 September at the Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport. More than 200 newspaper industry CEOs, technical personnel and other senior news publishing leaders will attend the industry rendezvous.

After a hiatus due to the Covid situation, the Indian Printers Summit 2022 is back. This is Wan-Ifra's annual event to celebrate print success in the region and to discuss the way forward for the longevity of print. For 2022, the event is built around the theme “Back to business – Print for the Future’, and the programme is being carefully tailored to help learn new challenges and opportunities for print in the digital world. A curated set of keynotes and panel discussions will help shape the thought leadership for the print industry.

The event will start with a half-day workshop on benchmarking newspaper production based on KPIs. As per the Wan-Ifra note, the workshop will teach the process of measuring the key performance indices of a newspaper production process. It will cover the following aspects: what is benchmarking – types, features and concepts. Also what is the process which is applicable for newspaper production along with ten key performance indices in newspaper production.

After lunch, it will be time for the Summit to discuss the imperatives of print business and networking expo on the afternoon of 14 September, followed by celebration ‘gala’ dinner in the evening.

Next day, 15 September, the delegates will gather for a full day of conference sessions and networking expo. Some of the topics which will be discussed are: back to business and revival of print; resource optimisation and printing using lower grammage newsprint; innovation in print publishing – New ways of advertising in print and multiplier effect with other medium; and newsprint – challenges and the way forward.

The event will be held at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport. The hotel is 3 kms from the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
