Established in 1982 and based in New Delhi, Weldon Celloplast serves India’s label industry as an agent and self-adhesive label stock laminator. The company represents several global manufacturers of printing equipment, tooling, inspection, and waste management systems and offers tamper-evident security label materials.
GSE’s Colorsat dispensing systems, designed for flexo, gravure and screen inks, prepare spot colours by blending base colours in precise weights according to established ink formulations. Using the Ink Manager software, the dispensers also incorporate “press-return” inks from previous production runs into new print jobs by recalculating ink recipes.
Kanwardeep Sahni, managing director of Weldon Celloplast, stated, “GSE’s Colorsat ink dispensing systems are crucial for improving the competitiveness of India’s label printing market. It enables consistent colour quality while reducing ink consumption and waste, which is important for securing business with global brands.”
According to Sahni, India's label market is experiencing robust growth. However, label converters are facing pressures from raw material costs and the necessity to achieve tighter colour accuracy standards while complying with increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
Nearly 30 GSE ink dispensers operate in India, including seven Colorsat Match systems featuring GSE Ink Manager software.
Announcing the news, Onno Deen, area sales manager at GSE, said, “Weldon Celloplast are suitable agency partners due to their experience in roll-fed labelling and proven ability to provide responsive service for leading industry manufacturers. As a local contact for installation support and technical advice, Weldon’s assistance will facilitate the adoption of ink dispensing systems needed to meet global consumer brands’ quality expectations.”
