Mayoor Kurva, managing director, Welpac, said, “We are a 32-year old company which believes in upgrading its technology every two to three years. We replaced the existing Gerber Solara Ion X with the new Jetrix 2513.”

The Jetrix 2513, which was recognised by the best specialists printing solution award by the European Digital Press Association during Drupa, is capable of printing on four-inch thick substrate which enables Welpac to print on substrates like wood, tiles, ACP, glass etc. This helps the company to cater to interior designers and the architectural industry. “We focus on delivering the quality to our customers,” added Kurva.

The wide-format printer is a hybrid machine which can be used as a flat-bed system or a roll-to-roll system and is equipped with variable ink system with white, varnish and primer printing for glass and metal.

Besides Jetrix, the printing facility at Welpac is furnished with a four-colour Vutek 3360, Epson GS6000 and a Roland eco-solvent printer.

Recently, Welpac has moved into the new three storey premises of 5,000 sq/ft located at Koramangala in Bengaluru. Also, Kurva is planning to set up a 2,000sq/ft art gallery which will showcase ‘immense possibilities of technology’ in the same premises on the second floor.
