This year too, as in the last four years, this category has been awarded to a new print company. Screen Art Enterprises, the Mumbai-based screen printing specialist has followed the like of Bengaluru’s Autographics Digital, Trichy-based Antz Innovation, Hyderabad’s Pragati Offset and last year’s winner, Silverpoint Press of Mumbai, in winning the Award by demonstrating a thoughtful and creative use of screen print processing.

The company’s four Divya Thakur posters, used pre-press techniques to produce the perfectly registered, large-format, three-colour screen printed sheets with special gold finishing. The job was printed and delivered in two days. The company printed 50 copies of each poster using Natural Evolution Ivory 240gsm paper.

What really caught the judges’ attention was not the size but the posters’ ability to pull the viewers in, “making one wonder what this image and poster is all about,” as one of the members put it.

Screen Art Enterprises has two locations in Mumbai, one in Kala Chowkie and the other in Shah & Nahar Industrial Estate in Lower Parel. Equipped with a manual kit as well as Grafica’s screen printing kit, the company also produces packaging items, agency stationery, and wedding cards.
