While 2530 is designed for narrow web, 4835 can do both narrow- and wide-web. With the CDI installations, the Bengauru companies have upgraded to a higher quality in matching offset in gravure.

Tippu Sultan who is manager of the pre-press department at Wintek said: "Label printers predominantly print using the flexo process, but recently the label industry has advanced by leaps and bounds. Customers demand fine lines in microtext and gradation in halftones. "

The platesetter at Wintek is loaded with Suite 10 which adds value in terms of preparation of files. Both platesetters are enabled to do inline UV and HD due to high-resolution optics and superior screening. This provides a stable dot structure, extends the grey scale, and eliminates uncontrolled dot bridging. In the case of Wintek, it ensures, full tonal range for offset and flexo printing.

Wintek Flexo who bagged the PrintWeek India Pre-Press Printer Award specialises in labels for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Veepee is a top pre-press bureau in India.
