Workshop on advanced infographics on 14-15 December
A recent survey shows that over the last decade, infographics have become an increasing trend. In fact, from 2010-2012 infographic search volumes have increased by 800%. In 2016 and 2017, the statistics are even more impressive. It says infographics are liked and shared on social media three times more than any other type of content.

In order to help develop news media industry and keep your audience engaged, Wan-Ifra is organising a workshop on ‘Advanced Infographics for Print and Online’ on 14-15 December 2017 at Coutyard by Marriott, Hyderabad. The registrations are already started coming in from various national and regional leading newspapers, new media as well magazines.
The workshop will cover both print and online infographics under one roof and showcase latest trends and new in news infographics. There will also be discussions on covering interactive and motion graphics and graphics on web, smart phones and tablets. The workshop will also brainstorm sketching, refining ideas to make a plan and seedy hands-on sketching exercises in both hand and software.
The workshop will be conducted by Juan Velasco, who co-founded 5W Infographics in January 2002. He was the art director of National Geographic magazine between 2008 and 2014. Previously, he was the graphics art director of The New York Times from 1999 to 2002.
