Workshop on quality control devices

Bombay Master Printers’ Association (BMPA) will kick off its Seekho aur Samjho (SaS) workshop series on 17 January (Saturday) with the first session on correct usage of densitometer and spectrophotometer at Government Institute of Printing Technology (GIPT), Mumbai from 10am.

Faheem Agboatwala, president, BMPA, said, “There is a pressing need to educate our workforce and elevate their skill level. This session will introduce the participants to the basics of what a densitometer and spectrophotometer is, their differences and how to use these quality control instruments to achieve consistency in print.”

The first session of the series will be mentored by the subject expert, Vishnuu Kamat, vice president – sales, Advanced Graphic Systems. Kamat’s presentation, which will be imparted in Hindi, will include live demonstrations for the benefit of the participants.

Agboatwala added, “The seats are limited and are filling up rapidly. I urge all my fellow printers to enrol their staff members for this session at the earliest.”

This is an initiative by the BMPA, PrintWeek India, Government Institute of Printing Technology (GIPT), Mumbai and SIES Graduate School of Technology, Navi Mumbai.
