The RIP software from two Chinese companies, MainTop and Hosonsoft, as well Onyx, Sai, Aurelon, and Caldera is enabling printers using the Xaar 1201 to enhance their workflow and optimise print for a range of applications – from graphics to dye sublimation textiles.
“The RIP software from both MainTop and Hosonsoft has been a key factor in the growth and success of the Xaar 1201 printhead in China and across Asia,” said Bob Bobertz, director of sales, Asia, Xaar. “The companies’ work was absolutely crucial for the successful take up of the Xaar 1201 – and is one of the main reasons why so many of our customers have converted to digital and are enjoying outstanding print quality results.”
Through its collaboration with Guangzhou HaoCheng, Xaar is said to provide printer manufacturers with an extensive and stable supply chain and full integration support. As a result, the 1201 printhead, according to Xaar, is undergoing rapid adoption by printer manufacturers across Asia.
Xaar 1201 printhead can be used to print one, two or four colours, features 1280 nozzles that jet variable drop sizes and produces graphics and textiles on a wide range of substrates at an apparent resolution of up to 1440 dpi.
“I am pleased to add that Shanghai Ad and Sign Show was a great success for Xaar overall – we had 17 OEMs showing more than 50 new printers for graphics, textiles and signage. This exceeded expectations and is an indication of how customers can get ahead and achieve more with Xaar inkjet technology,” added Bobertz.
