Xeikon to launch Transform at Labelexpo 2019

Filip Weymans, vice president - marketing, Xeikon, said, “Looking at today’s consumer-driven trends and the evolving diversity in consumer behaviour, label converters are confronted with a number of challenges in terms of varying run lengths, increasing number of jobs, long runs over many versions, personalisation, and just-in-time delivery while running their operational costs effectively. Digitising their print manufacturing process helps them to address these challenges.” 

Transform (transform.xeikon.com) is up and running as a digital platform. Visitors to the website can consult Xeikon and get advice on the ideal digital set-up for their business by answering a few questions. “By just asking five simple questions related to their business, we provide personal advice that can set them on the right track to choosing the ideal configuration for their business strategy out of almost 200 possible digital label production setups,” added Weymans.

According to Xeikon, there are printers that are yet to make the move to digital, and there are also many companies looking to take the next step, whether going into new markets, producing new applications or switching technologies.

With Transform, Xeikon aims to facilitate these printers in making the right decisions and find ways to add value and improve profitability in business. 

“Digital printing can be the inspiration to undergo such a transformation. There is no one scenario for such transformation as this depends on business strategies, so conscious choices need to be made when selecting the right print technology, workflow setup, converting processes, etc. With Transform, we provide a tool that guides business owners in this transformation process,” he added.

Transform enables label printers to compose their own solution according to their needs. With the website, Xeikon is readying the label printers for Labelexpo Europe. 

Apart from Transform, at the event, Xeikon will feature a wide range of digital label printing solutions, including entry level as well as high productivity production lines. It will operate in three configurations, entry-level solutions, Xeikon CX500, and Xeikon PX3000. 

In addition to it, Xeikon will also be a participant in Labelexpo's flexible packaging arena, where the company will showcase its latest X-800 workflow tools.
