“PrintExpo is a key event for us considering the fact that South India contributes to almost 34% of our market share,” said, Balaji Rajagopalan, executive director of technology, channels and international distributor operations, Xerox India.
The presses on display were Versant 2100 press with an offset-like matte finish, Color C70 with OHCF and Embedded Fiery, Versant 80 with Embedded Fiery and ColorPress 1000i with metallic gold and silver options and the wide format 6705.
“We are happy with the footfall this year and like every year have generated several hundreds of quality leads which we hope to convert in the near future,” added Balaji.
The company which has its massive R&D centre in Chennai has incorporated the Color logic app in the 1000i officially in India. This would enable the press to print in 250 different shades of metallic using CMYK and silver.
“This app and its feature opens up an array of security printing possibilities which we believe is unique to Xerox,” said Balaji.
