Xerox boosts printing efficiency at Dhote

Dhote Offset a traditional offset print firm in Mumbai has improved the productivity and efficiency of its short-run book printing operations.

According to Tushar Dhote of Dhote Offset this follows the installation of Xerox 4127, its third digital press in two years. The other presses are Xerox 700 and a Xerox 4122.

The company has transformed its business model from a conventional book printer to a complete supply chain provider.

Its supply chain service platform includes a digital book factory, full pre-press capabilities, an automated bindery, custom publishing, and fulfillment for clients.

Dhote said digital has provided the company unique competitive advantages an enabled the firm to produce one million impressions; and hundreds of book titles.

Dhote said: ‘Publishers want smaller, safer quantities. Traditional presses cannot produce low quantities cost effectively or produce the books in the turn-around time required to print and bind the books."
