XSYS demonstrates flexo innovation
The recent XSYS Virtual Summit attracted more than 700 registrations from all corners of the globe over four days in June. A packed programme, with selected content taking regional and market segment related needs into account, covered all aspects of flexographic production, with XSYS solutions showcased live through expert rounds and virtual demos. Together with industry partners, the company also tackled important market trends, such as how to implement more sustainable printing methods and the advantages of extended gamut printing.

“Our first XSYS Virtual Summit was a great success and we are extremely pleased with the feedback we have received from attendees,” said Friedrich von Rechteren, global commercial VP at XSYS. “We have certainly achieved our goal of helping customers address the pain points in flexographic printing and answering their questions. It was also a fantastic opportunity to present our latest solutions to a multinational audience and truly investigate the current state of the flexographic technology and its future.”
Sessions covered the many ways in which XSYS solutions can help companies that are active in the tag and label, flexible packaging and corrugated segments increase the overall equipment efficiency (OEE) in their pre-press and pressroom. Attendees learned how print quality can be optimised by choosing the right type of plate and carrier sleeve for the job from the comprehensive XSYS portfolio. They also heard how plate processing in a ThermoFlexX Catena or Nyloflex Xpress system will guarantee improved plate quality and consistency, as well as reduce costs and waste.
In order to cover the whole scale of flexographic plate processing and printing and to present the results of recent investigative print trials, XSYS had also teamed up with partners Windmöller and Hölscher, Uteco Group, Soma, Nilpeter, BASF, Sappi and Hybrid Software. Most sessions were complemented by live Q&As, where attendees had the chance to quiz the experts.
Following the successful event, XSYS is planning to further develop its own virtual platform https://xsysglobal.com/virtual-sales/ in order to offer an even more dynamic experience with increased interaction and new functionalities. The relaunch is scheduled to go live towards the beginning of Q4 2021.
“During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have all had to change the way we interact, and as a consequence, we have developed new and meaningful ways to communicate with our customers,” said Ozan Ozturk, global marketing and communications manager. “One of the main takeaways from our first online event is that we should keep innovating in this space to add even more value, because we believe that virtual events are very much part of the industry’s future.” He concluded, “We want to bring the flexo community together and become the place where you can find the latest game-changing products and services, all on one dedicated platform.”
For those who were unable to attend, the webinars are now available to view on demand on the XSYS Virtual Platform, which can be found at https://xsysglobal.com/virtual-sales/.
