Ajit G Patil, CMD, Yarbal, said, “We have been using the TechNova VioStar violet CTP since 2022. However, as the demand increased, we wanted to upgrade to a big-size machine. So, we opted for thermal technology and decided to purchase the ThermoStar T9.”
He added, “We have had a business relationship with TechNova for more than a decade.”
Patil said technology is the only option left when you want your printed carton to have a monopoly in the market in terms of quality, pricing and speed. “We have been keeping ourselves abreast of new technologies from the beginning. We had decided to go with diode laser-based technology when compared with other single-head-based machines. In this context, ThermoStar T9 is the best machine available in the market with price and ease of performance.”
Patil said, along with this CTP Machine, the company also installed a board cutting machine, an automatic die-cutter and a Chinese carton erecting machine. He said these investments have increased the company’s production capacity by 35%.
Last year, the company invested in a five-colour Komori.
Yarbal has been serving its customers with good-quality printing material since 1981. Starting with a single demy offset press in 1986 and now owning the biggest offset printing machine in North Karnataka, Yarbal Offset Printers has embraced the rapid evolution in technology and services allowing it to expand into the national marketplace around the core disciplines of production, conversion and distribution of services. In 2003, the company expanded into packaging printing with Yarbal Print-Pack. Yarbal Print-Pack offers a complete solution to the packaging industry, with the latest technology. The company today has the biggest offset converting setup for printing and packaging in North Karnataka and South Maharashtra.
On the new investment, Patil said FMCG products have the highest demand for digital printing plates. “Every time there are changes in the artwork and whenever a new product is launched, there is a need for a printing place,” he said.
