Scodix presses are marketed, distributed and serviced by Monotech Systems in India and in few south Asian countries.

In a country where sharing their wedding albums with hundreds of people and keeping it as an asset, photo-album specialists need technology to enhance the photo-viewing or browsing experience and retain interest.

M Krishna Chaitanya, owner and founder, Zoom Digital Press, said, “We have seen the results of the kit, and it enabled us to produce specialised photo applications, which is a compelling product, we offer a 3D feel and touch the senses of the person scanning the photo-album.”

Chaitanya added, “Of course, it’s a new technology and we had created a market for it. Designing and pre-press, both played a key role for this technology. And we have done well with our skill and Scodix technology, and we will turn our business more rewarding. We have opted for the second equipment to meet our increasing demand of photo enhancement.”

Besides Vishakhapatnam, Zoom has a facility in Hyderabad and two HP Indigo printing presses, a 3500 and a 5500. The company has plans of starting a new branch in Vijayawada.

The Scodix can accept both digital and offset printed sheets. Coated, uncoated and laminated paper and boards can be used in addition to other synthetic materials. Even though it is an offline process it claims to deliver accurate registration. The maximum sheet size it can handle is 20x29-inches (B2).

Monotech Systems displayed Scodix S75 along with Scodix Rainbow in CEIF 2014, Mumbai, which received a huge response from the visitors and booked four-equipment there and it is one of them.

T P Jain, managing director, Monotech Systems, said, “Zoom Digital Press has set a new benchmark taking creativity to the highest level in the making of wedding albums which truly create a wow factor.  People can see for themselves looking close to real on special occasions through Zoom Wedding Albums with the Scodix effect. Zoom has made it a huge success in establishing Scodix concept in wedding albums. We are very glad that they are installing a second Scodix UV Enhancement Press in a short period of six months at Vijayawada.“
