Describe your company.
SRK Creative is one of the biggest photography printing companies in Mumbai. It has 40 outlets. The firm ventured into digital printing segment four years ago.

What does the machine do?
Kodak Nexpress 3300 Photo Press caters to printing of high-value photo merchandise, including hard and soft cover photo books, calendars, greeting cards, posters and magnets.

Why did you choose this particular machine?
We chose this press because of its size. We have an HP Indigo which prints sheet of size 12x18 inch, which was a limitation when printing printing bigger size sheet.

Did you look at any other similar machines?
We looked at the iGen4 and Indigo 7600. But after observing the Nexpress 3300 for six months, we zeroed in on it.

Why did you make the purchase?
There was a demand for bigger size printing. We knew the machine was capable and were sure that our ROI will be fast.

What features do you particularly like?
It’s size and dimensional clear printing. The Fiery is robust and is very fast. The press can be upgraded.

Is there anything that you dislike?
The machine consumes lot of power and requires two hours of daily maintenance.

Is there anything that you wish it had that it doesn’t?
Nothing in particular.

How fast is it?
It is capable printing 3,000 sheets per hour with VDP.

How reliable is it?
If one maintains the machine properly, then it is very reliable.

What is the quality like?
Recommendable, saleble and proofable. All our proofs for offset printing are produced on this press.

How easy is it to use?
It is not easy. One has to understand the process of operating this press. It is not a green button machine.

How much time or money has it saved?
It has not saved money but it has earned me more money.

Has it won you any new work?
Yes it has. Now we are able to cater to poster printing and catalogues especially for the real estate and garment industry.

Would you say it offers value for money?
Yes, but if you have work. One has to have a clear and focused mindset for what kind of work he or she will cater to.

Were there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
There were some teething problems but it was not an issue.

What about pre- and after-sale service?
No problem at all. Kodak’s approach and service is prompt.

Who do you think the machine is right for?
For a company which wants to cater to creative jobs with volume and who is willing to cater to different industries.

Under what circumstances would you buy another?
If I expand my operations to a new place then I will invest in another Nexpress.
