Describe your company.
Established in 2001, Pentaplus Printers is a Bengaluru-based commercial print firm. With in-house pre-press, printing and post-press facilities, we produce brochures, leaflets, carton boxes, booklet and stationery products. An important factor of our success is continuous upgradation of technology to improve our processes and serve better with best quality and best price for our customers’ changing needs.

What does the platesetter do?
Kodak Trendsetter platesetters are well known in the printing industry for their reliability and easy maintenance. With the flexibility to image two-page to six-page plate sizes, the platesetter produces plates at the speed of 43 plates per hour.

Why did you make the purchase?
This machine replaced our earlier CTP system, which performed at slower speed. The reason for this purchase was to boost capacity and fasten operations.

What features do you particularly like?
I was impressed with the speed, screening option and quality of the dot produced. Trendsetter Q400 offers 450 lpi screening and optional 20- and 10-micron Kodak Staccato screening creates photorealistic images.

How fast is it?
It throughputs at the rate of 43 plates per hour.

How reliable it is?
Extremely reliable. We haven’t seen any breakdowns in th elast one year.

How easy is it to use?
It is a very user-friendly machine.

How much time and money has it saved?
Thanks to higher speeds, we have saved on time, which is a crucial part of any commercial print operations. We are able to deliver faster.

Has it won you new work?
With Trendsetter Q400, we started using 20 micron screening, which has helped us add new clients.

Would you say that it offers value for money?
As we operate in the commercial segment, the machine has helped us to deliver faster and thereby do more number of jobs. Hence, it definitely means value for the money spent.

Were they any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
The installation was a smooth process.

How about the pre-and after-sales services?
As per our experience of last one year, the pre- and after- sales service from Kodak has been very good.

What do you think the machine is right for?
The mahcine is ideal for any and every commercial printer who desires to boost its productivity and improve on reliability.

Under what circumstances would you buy another?
May be when we plan for expansion in future, we would opt for this machine. However, at this point in time I have no such plans.
