What does the machine system do?
Sheth Printograph’s Jazz is an automatic lamination machine, which performs front and back lamination, especially for the paperboard cartons.

Did you look at any other similar machines?
Yes, we did look at some Korean and Taiwanese machines. However, we found that Jazz was more cost-effective and being an Indian manufacturer, Sheth is able to provide prompt service support. Hence we opted for this particular machine.

Why did you make the purchase?
We wanted to expedite the lamination process. Also, since labour cost has gone up in Baddi, we were looking for an automatic lamination machine, which could increase the speed and reduce the labour required.

What features do you particularly like?
The machine comes with an auto-sheeter, which omits the manual sheeting process. Thus, thanks to automation,  we are able to save labour cost as well as time.

Is there anything that you wish it had that it doesn’t?
We were satisfied when we had bought the machine, a couple of years back. But now when we are looking to do MetPET jobs, we are planning to upgrade to a machine that is capable of metallised film pasting.

How reliable is it?
Undoubtedly, it is very reliable.

How easy is it to use?
It is an operator-friendly machine. Running the machine was not a problem, however, we had to train our operators to leverage some special features of the machine such as slitting bigger rolls into smaller ones etc.

How much time or money has it saved?
With this machine, we were able to cut down the time required for lamination by almost half. Also, reduced labour and doubled speed have added to the earnings with this machine.

Has it won you any new work?
No. With this machine we have the automated the lamination process, which was earlier done manually.

Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes. It definitely offers value for money.

Any difficulties during the installation or after?
No. It was a smooth operation.

What about the pre and after-sale service?
The after-sales service from Sheth Printograph is excellent. However, when there is requirement of spare parts from a third-party vendor especially for electronics, there is slight delay in the delivery from the third-party.

Who do you think the machine is right for?
This system is suitable for anyone, who does lamination jobs on a large scale.

Under what circumstances would you buy another?
Today, the requirement of lamination has decreased due to introduction of UV technology. If the number of lamination jobs increase, we would definitely prefer this machine.
