What does the machine do?
"It is a label printing machine. The machine is equipped with advanced web tension management, self-aligning cassettes and superior drying and curing system. This ensures quality label printing.
Did you look at any other similar machines?
Yes I did. I looked at options like Gallus and Gidue, but I finally chose to buy Mark Andy as we are already a Mark Andy user.
Why did you make the purchase?
As I told, we are already a Mark Andy user. The availability of spare parts is not an issue. Also the machine is user-friendly and is suitable for the jobs which I am doing.
What features do you particularly like?
I like all the features.
Is there anything that you dislike?
The change-over of magnetic cylinder is very tedious and time consuming. The manufacturer should make the process simple.
Is there anything you wish it had that it doesn’t?
Nothing in particular.
How fast is it?
The machine has a speed of 100 metres per minute. I don’t run the machine at this speed as the jobs which I print do not require this speed. I run the machine at 60 to 80 metres per minute.
What’s the quality like?
We cater to the industrial segment and the machine is able to deliver the quality which is required for the industrial labels. I am happy with the quality.
How reliable is it?
The machine is very reliable.
How easy is it to use?
The machine is very user-friendly. The operators are very comfortable working on this machine.
How much time or money has it saved?
For me it is the normal saving of time or money. Nothing extraordinary.
Has it won you any new work?
Yes, it has won me new work. The delivery schedule too has improved.
Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes, it offers value for money.
Were there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
No problems as such because we did our homework and planned everything in advance.
What about the pre- and after-sales service?
I am happy but the annual maintenance contract (AMC) cost is too high. The manufacturer should tone down the AMC cost.
Who do you think the machine is right for?
This is a very good machine and is right for any label printer irrespective of whether the printer is big or small.
Under what circumstances would you buy another?
There are plans for expansion and in one and half year I would buy an advanced version Mark Andy P5.
