Why did you choose this particular machine? 

We opted for the Xerox iGen3® digital press because of its many clear advantages over other digital presses available in the marketplace. It is the fastest cut sheet digital press in the market, it has the largest sheet size of 14.33” x 22.5” and also it can handle the largest variety of coated, uncoated, textured media.

And this right technology of the Xerox iGen3® digital press gives us an opportunity to convert the ever increasing requirements of very short-run print runs and quick turnaround times. 

 

What features do you particularly like? 

The iGen3’s ability to match offset quality output, print capability on a wide variety of substrate types like coated, uncoated, rough, textured, synthetic media types, paper weight range upto 350gsm and the XXL paper size of 14.33” x 22.5” are its best features. The high productivity and ease of use makes it an excellent press for my operations people also. The other key benefits include the 24x7 post service support response. 

 

How fast is it? 

The iGen3 has a speed of 6,600 A4 full process colour impressions per hour.  

 

Is there anything that you dislike?

No.

 

How reliable is it?

The Xerox iGen3® is an extremely reliable print engine. The entire team at Perfact is now working towards maximizing the production colour print volumes to feed this hungry print engine.

 

What’s the quality like? 

Xerox iGen3® has exceptional colour image quality, with Automatic Image Enhancement and ICC profile matching. Its GRACoL emulation provides outstanding color output and a very accurate match to offset. Further 600 x 600 dpi, 8-bit depth resolution, and Xerox patented dry inks give excellent fine line rendering and benchmark colour gamut.

How easy is it to use?

It has an excellent easy to use user-interface. The animated representations make the operation even simpler. Automatic colour management and single sheet calibration makes the print engine operator friendly. The iGen3® requires minimal maintenance activity and no major cleaning, making it a very operator friendly machine. Also its technology allows seamless interoperability with the FreeFlow Workflow Production Suite.

 

How much time or money has it saved? 

The Xerox iGen3® not only provides us a quick return on investment (RoI) but it also helps our customers have better RoI for their investments. Also, with better print capabilities and no hidden costs, the iGen3 is a profitable investment. 

 

Would you say that it offers value for money?

Yes, it definitely offers a good value for money. It has helped us position many different print products and serve new customers. 

 

Were there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after? 

Not at all. The machine was delivered and installed within a week’s time; and we started production jobs immediately. 

 

What about the pre and after-sale service? 

Xerox has the finest ‘service levels’ in the printing industry. In this competitive landscape there is no downtime, and print-on-demand services is all about instant printing. Xerox offers a dedicated team of service engineers, analysts, SmartPress Production Consultant (SPPC) who are available on 24/7 basis.

The machine is apt for short-run, on demand printing of brochures, books, flyers, postcards, newsletters, catalogs, manuals, sell sheets and more. n
