At Balaji, most of the production is job work which includes cards, leaflets, brochures and other marketing materials.
The company possesses a Ricoh Pro C9100 and a Konica Minolta Bizhub Press C1085 and a Ricoh 9100. It had installed the Ricoh Pro C9100 digital engine with EFI Fiery E-43 digital front end (DFE) server in January 2017.
Requirements of offset-like colour reproduction and quicker variable data printing (VDP) services for its short-run print customers made them invest in EFI Fiery E-43.
Babu says, “EFI Fiery is easy to use and understand. With Job tracking, you get more production from Fiery. You can save, retrieve and simultaneously you can process the jobs.
Stressing on the VDP, Babu says,” The usual run for VDP jobs is less than 10,000. Without Fiery, you need around four to five hours to complete 10,000 coupons. With the Fiery DFE, you can complete the same job in 15 to 20 minutes.”
“Fiery server is a must. I will rate it 10 on a scale of 10 for productivity, quality and speed”, he concludes.
