PrintWeek is celebrating the power of women with the second edition of the Women to Watch Awards in 2024.
The Women to Watch Awards are for outstanding women who lead, inspire, and motivate greatness in the printing and packaging community. As part of PrintWeek’s commitment to promote the advancement of diversity, inclusion, and equality in the printing industry, these awards, in their first ever year, celebrate the achievements of India’s business leaders, change makers, trailblazers, and rising stars.
We invite the industry (that is, you) to help us recognise the women who, over the last 12 months, have shown outstanding leadership and fostered groundbreaking innovation in the printing, packaging, research, and development, as well as the future leaders of tomorrow. Women may nominate themselves or any women, team and businesses that have inspired them and made an impact in the community.
We look forward to celebrating the achievements and championing the advancement of Women in 2024.
WHO SHOULD ENTER?
We recognise nominees who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and fostered groundbreaking innovation, savvy strategists, and game changers.
ELIGIBILITY PERIOD
We will be looking at achievements from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Entries Open: 15 January, 2024
Early Bird Deadline: 7 February, 2024
Final Deadline: 29 February, 2024
Jury Process: 5 March, 2024
Winners' Announcement: 8 March 2024
ENTRY FEES:
Early Bird Fees: Rs. 1,500 per entry + 18% GST
Standard Fees: Rs. 3,000 per entry + 18% GST
ENTRY PROCESS
Each entry must include the following to be considered complete:
1. Online registration.
2. Minimum 250-word summary around the following points:
- Objectives and vision
- Leadership role
- Creativity and innovation
- Achievements and success
- Reach: Local and global impact
Note 1: Relevant information may vary depending on the category.
Note 2: Participants can share audio notes too.
3. Supporting documents and testimonials are necessary. These may include copies of project reports, photographs, testimonials of clients, relevant department heads and so on.
4. The application must be forwarded through/ must carry a no-objection certificate from the company's top management / business owner.

Awards Categories
1. Educator of the Year
This Award recognises women who have contributed to print and packaging education. Open to educators and professionals and teachers. For this category, The Jury will be looking for an individual who, during the Award eligibility period, has gone above and beyond her job description to help students. This may include organising special classes, hosting seminars, webinars, workshops, designing syllabuses, helping students get placement and so on. The applicant may recommend herself or she can be recommended by her superior, colleague or students.
2. Business Leader of the Year
This Award recognises any woman CEO/top management, who has excelled in providing demonstrated leadership that has been critical to the success of her organisations. Open to all leaders, owners, entrepreneurs, founders, employed professionals, and self-employed women who promote excellence among CEOs and C-Level executives and high professional standards among peers. The Jury will be looking for the CEO who has demonstrated strong leadership qualities combined with the ability to strategise and a determination to drive business.
3. Factory Champion of the Year
This Award recognises inspirational women whose work and ideas have generated excitement through top-of-class factory management. The winner will be a woman who has not only set the standard for factory excellence but also raised the bar. The winner can also be a woman who in the course of her duties has been able to connect to all the departments on the shopfloor to make the production process perfect. Basically, the Jury will be looking for someone on the shopfloor whose absence will perhaps interrupt the day-to-day workflow of the factory.
4. R&D Captain
This Award recognises inspirational women whose work and ideas have generated excitement through top-of-class R&D. The winner will be a woman who has not only set the standard for R&D excellence but also raised the bar.
5. Rising Star of the Year
This Award recognises anyone who has demonstrated exemplary growth traits. We are looking for a new entrant to the organisation, a fresher, an intern, or a new employee, who in the course of her short stint in the organisation, has showcased a rare aptitude for growth, not only in her department, but also for the organisation. In this category, we seek to identify the youngster who is poised for future leadership.
6. Fintech Leader
This Award recognises an individual's achievement and contribution in leading the fintech-related areas of the industry. The winner will be a leader who has demonstrated exemplary leadership and made a significant impact on the success of her company and continues to drive innovation and growth. The Jury will be looking for the Fintech Leaders who has successfully planned and budgeted to help a business predict profitability, forecast income and expenditure, formulate plans and strategies and provided a model for performance and reach financial success.
7. Designer of the Year
This Award is set to recognise individual women who lead a design innovation in print or packaging that they have initiated, launched, and developed during the eligibility period. The person must boost know-how about the creative possibilities of print. After all, the more creative print there is around, the better it is for everyone.
8. Mentor of the Year
This Award recognises outstanding leadership and implementation of a mentorship programme and personal development. This Award also recognises an individual who is innovative and driving change that demonstrated excellence with great leadership, communication and strategy planning to drive results and transformation. The mentor/coach should have a minimum of one full year of mentoring/coaching one or more mentee(s); 8+ years of leadership/excellent track record of staff engagement/retention and acted as an inspiration to men/women.
9. Sales Champion of the Year
This Award seeks to recognise the outstanding woman who has managed a sales team/ or part of a sales team to generate more than expected business for the company. The Jury will be looking for exceptional salesperson who has had a positive impact on the company’s business, showing excellent coordination with the customers, coordination within the company for fulfilment, knowledge and passion for the industry and excellence in her work. This may also include exceeding sales targets and strong communication skills.
10. Young Business Leader
This Award recognises women who have not only achieved growth for their businesses but also demonstrated strategic direction, leadership competencies during the eligibility period, through honed business acumen and strong industry networks. Open to professionals who are at the age of 40 or under as of 31 December 2023. The nominee should hold a managerial position.
11. Packaging Person of the Year
The winner is a person who has displayed excellent skill and vision in her chosen field within the packaging industry. The Jury will be looking for someone with vision, who thinks outside of the box and has created a more innovative packaging industry in India. The person should have a significant impact on the packaging industry, which needs to find new ways to reduce waste and increase recycling.
12. Publishing Person of the Year
The winner is a person who has displayed excellent skill and vision in her chosen field within the publishing industry. The Jury will be looking for someone who has a vision about the printed book as an overwhelmingly popular format. Other than examples of creativity and expertise, the person will be awarded for creation of beautiful books which are a shining example of why the publishing sector continues to thrive.
13. All Women Team of the Year
This category applauds the exceptional accomplishments of women in the printing and packaging fraternity. This category recognises collaborative brilliance and team work. From graphic design to production management, these women exemplify teamwork, innovation, and resilience. The Award aims to inspire gender diversity, and celebrates the transformative power of female leadership in an industry traditionally dominated by men. Join us in honouring the contributions of these women, shaping the future of printing and packaging.
GUIDELINES AND EVALUATION PROCESS
The applications will be reviewed and analysed by a five-member Jury team, composed of industry leaders in the field of print, packaging and design. The selection process will be confidential and the Jury's decision will be final.
PrintWeek will release a shortlist in each of the 13 categories one week before the award winners are announced through an online event. Also, a Women To Watch Awards Special will be published by PrintWeek. The Women to Watch Awards supplement will highlight their achievements and contributions to the industry.
